Lots of us have been eating Asian shrimp and didn't know it til lately. thats a fact.while i lived in fla we would catch aprox 50-100 lbs of jumbo shrimp with our shrimp traps at night.when the freezer was full we would sale them or try to at the fish marketss and we was offered $1.00 lb while the shrimp was saling $10.00-$15.00 a lb .we asked why so cheap and the guy said we can get them for that shipped from over seas .so i do beleave you hit the nail on the head.
