Hi Ya'll well most a ya can tell by now i usually dip my traps. Well ive got about 2 doz that didnt get diped so iam thinking about just cleaning them up good and waxin them . Howmany pounds a wax ya'll recon it will take.Ive got a old crock pot that iam thinking of useing.what a 5-10 lb block even sell for LOL been alot a yr's. Any body ever use the black wax?? RayA

Been meaning to try the black wax but hav'nt got around to it yet. I use regular old canning wax,cheapest I can find at Walmart.Fill your crock pot with ware and measure it,I'd think 4-5 lbs.so prob.7-8. You think the crock pot will keep your wax hot enough with dipping cool traps in it. You might have to preheat your traps.Just my 2 cents Mike

Don't know about a crock pot,but them fry daddy's will work fine.I'm thinking 5 lb. will be plenty.

Raya i use the black wax and wouldnt use any other type now this stuff is great and doesnt flake off at all and with the black wax you almost dont need to dye, 5 lbs would be plenty.

This black wax really has a great finish to it. It doesnt freeze and flake like the other wax. And it really holds to the metal. Ya wont go wrong with it.
