Got trxt message from Kim, house gatage and shop all under water. Said flood stage was 8 feet. Highest ever recorded was 16 feet. Currently at 42 feet and has not crested! Big Piney river. Said she was 16 feet above the highest level ever recorded. Not in a flood plain so no flood insurance.

She posted that the flood waters were already down and within the banks. That was several hours ago. Her place looked the same after as it did before. The picture didn't show the inside of the buildings. There was really no visible trash piled against anything that I could tell. She may come out of this better than she thought.
In 77 the Johnstown flood happened ,in the mid 80s we tore the mill down and processed the metal . A lot of the buildings were never cleaned up after the flood , the mud was still wet in the mid 80s and stink man did it stink .. They would just go in with a loader and scoop everything up and send it to us what a mess .
I used to live between two rivers. Lower level walls in house has no insulation in walls. That insulation is what keeps walls from drying out. Flood insurance doesn't cover much but it is high dollar. It doesn't cover contents just foundation. Big joke but mandatory if house is mortgaged. Looks like Van Burean got wiped out and Taneycomo was way up.

farmnhunter: If you want to avoid feline, you can't use any meat or fish item or scent. Try a piece of black licorish covered by dairy feed, or lucky charms or corn/koolaid (mix 1 qt whole corn with a package of grape koolaid)
