Wow I would never pay that , I find them for 6 to 10 a lot . That would be a good price for a Blake and lamb 44 double long . I gave my buddy 2 dozen number 3s ,with pit pans and shock springs ,for Christmas .
I'm always looking at the prices in the flea markets & shaking my head. This area is a tourist trap anyway but I've seen $10 on a 1 1/2 Victor longspring that was so rusted you couldn't move the pan. I don't see many of the bigger traps though.
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine!
Same goes for other hunting/fishing stuff. I'd gladly sell the duck decoys I've got at the prices they are asking at these places. I've often thought they have them priced like they do for the people that want them for decor, not to use.

I hit flea markets to look for old hand tools that they don't make anymore that are still useable. I also look for old fly rods and bait reels. Everything is overpriced it seems. I take something I want up to the cash register and ask if they would consider an offer. They tell me they cant do that. The owner of the article is not there. They rent a booth from the proprietor. The clerk cant speak for booth renter so the prices are non-negotiable. I ask what a booth rents for and they say $500 a month. Wow.....How do you break even at that price? I chewed the owner out that these prices have been the same for years and they are never going to sell anything unless they come down a little. I am sure that some rich city folk stop in and buys a bunch of that junk without even looking at the price tags and that's what keeps them going.

farmnhunter: If you want to avoid feline, you can't use any meat or fish item or scent. Try a piece of black licorish covered by dairy feed, or lucky charms or corn/koolaid (mix 1 qt whole corn with a package of grape koolaid)
