I wanted to let all of District Five know that I have offered my services as the Director of Dist five to Doren Miller and our newly elected MTA president Robbie Page......and look fwd to working with all of you in seeing our Dist grow and become recognized as a result of our joint efforts.
Robbie will be sending me mailing labels of present and past membership so we can try to squeeze in a meeting before the busy time of trapping season. Please be thinking of ideas, suggestion, skill labs, public events that would promote trapping and benefit our district and members.

Get 'em guys.
President, MO Chapter of the Fur Takers of America (some darn nice folks)
Haw Creek Enterprises LLC, DBA Ambush Restaurant, DBA Haw Creek Trap Supply, DBA Haw Creek Manufacturing (new home of Hilltop Cage Traps), DBA Ambush House of Ill Repute... And the Butterfield Trail Social Club and Music Review!
We need a cable restraint class that's centrally located. I missed the one in Springfield last year because it practically filled up over night. This year it's a 2 1/2 hour drive to Neosho - no thank you. I feel like I'm getting jipped trying to play by the rules here. We should have every opportunity to use cable restraints whether it be 5 guys or 50 that need to take a class. Oops, sorry 'bout your luck fellas maybe next year = BS!!!!!!!! Classes fill up so fast you can't "git er done" so everybody who missed the bus is just SOL? Doesn't seem very fair to the folks trying to do it the right way.
Hopalong , Cletis can request a CR. class centrally in Dist. #5 , but the MDC decides when and where they will be held , Regardless of what anyone ask for.
I do agree that anyone wanting to take the class should be offered the option , regardless of how many are taking the class. I have set in when there was 10 and set in when there was almost 100 people taking the class. It's not a hands on 1 on 1 thing 100 can be taught as easily as 10 in that type of class.
Don't let tomarrow be one day to late to start eternity. G1H
I realize that it's up to the Conservation. Cletis stated he was looking for suggestions that would benefit and promote our district. I was just tossin' that out there and venting my frustration a lil' bit. Sorry if my comment was misconstrued in any way. I appreciate Cletis stepping up and filling the void. He brings invaluable experience and knowledge to our district and I for one and tickled to have him.

Just a shortnote on Dist five
I was hoping to schedule a meeting before trapping season, but it looks like that window did not materialize.....received a mailing list of members in this corner of the state.....would like target a meeting between Thanksgiving and Christmas as I will be back in the state at that time....We need to pick a time and place for a potential meeting so I can mail notifications..
Several business issues need to be addressed so our dist can go fwd
Apple Road Bait
10714 Apple Road
Carthage , Mo.64836
So, it looks like only four or five District 5 folks look at this board? Going to be hard to stir up a meeting at this rate. Cletis, you may need to get out some letters just to see what the non internet guys are thinking, kind of a poll. Might be some parts of the district show more interest than other parts, could help select a place, date, ect. Winter weather will play a part, too. By the way, I enjoyed the visit to your new shed last week, didn't spend enough time. Think about white FRP on the beam area walls, it'd make clean up a bit easier and lighting a bit better than paint I think.

Trevis....talked with Robbie about that very thing....will try to get info emailed so I can print labels on my lazer printer.....looking into bulk rate on postage....for a frequent flyer consisting of a single typing page.....also wanting to do a email data-base so one single message can arrive to all who furnish an email address...and I am excited about the future of Dist five........in addition to a district meeting.....plan on scheduling a hands on skinning and put-up during that time-frame....hopalong.....cablerestraint classes are an issue that needs to be addressed....traveltime...this is a big dist county and square mile wise....meetings also need to be mobile if at all possible..
Bear with me guys it will take a little time and support to get things going.
Cletis,I'm in the process of setting up a e-mail data base for District 7 and think it would be so much handier. I would also be interested in finding out about the bulk rate deal too. I think the members are in very good hands having you as their new director and I myself look forward in working with you on the BOD.

farmnhunter: If you want to avoid feline, you can't use any meat or fish item or scent. Try a piece of black licorish covered by dairy feed, or lucky charms or corn/koolaid (mix 1 qt whole corn with a package of grape koolaid)
