If I am keeping it for tanning then I open skin it. That way I can tack it to a sheet of plywood and scrape it with an indian scraper.

Just the same as bobcat and fox.leave the fur side in for 24 hrs then turn furside out.

Saves a lot of time have to have lots of air ( fans ) going Never had them stick or hang on the wire .

I have a hard time not getting into the membrane. We tan so many of these things where we take it ALL off that it's hard for me to not do it for the fur market. I've been using a dull knife and pushin' like heck, and it comes off pretty evenly. Just my way, I guess.
